Compliance & Affiliate Link Policy

Cuddlia participates in the Amazon Associates Program (Amazon.ca and Amazon.com). As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

This disclosure appears in the footer of every page and directly adjacent to any block of affiliate links, as required by the Associates Operating Agreement and FTC guidance (16 CFR Part 255).

Associate tag in use: cuddlia0e-20 (amazon.com). Every outbound Amazon link carries this tag; no link is cloaked, deceptively shortened or redirected through a third-party domain.

International routing: all links point to amazon.com. Amazon OneLink then redirects visitors to their local Amazon store (amazon.ca in Canada, for example); it only loads after affiliate cookies are accepted.

The Product Advertising API (PA-API 5.0) is the only authorised source for displaying Amazon titles, images and prices. Our server-side integration (AWS SigV4 signing, GetItems and SearchItems operations) is ready and will activate automatically once access keys are issued by Amazon, which happens after three qualifying sales.

Until the keys are active, no Amazon data is displayed: visuals are illustrations produced in-house, and prices are indicative ranges clearly labelled as such.

Once PA-API is live, we will honour the caching rules: product data (title, image, price, availability) will never be retained for more than 24 hours, and any displayed price will carry its retrieval timestamp plus a note that the Amazon price at checkout prevails.

We will not use PA-API responses to build a historical price database, to feed third-party comparison engines, or to train a model. No PA-API data is resold or shared with third parties.

Calls are made server-side only: access key and secret key are never exposed to the browser nor included in the client bundle.

Amazon images may only be displayed when they come from PA-API and are served from Amazon's original URLs. We do not download, re-host or modify those images (no cropping, watermarking, text or logo overlay).

Every PA-API image will link to the corresponding Amazon product page with our associate tag, as the Associates agreement requires.

The visuals currently on the site (product pages, galleries, guide covers) are original Cuddlia artwork. They are labelled as illustrative and do not claim to depict the exact packaging shipped by the merchant.

We do not use Amazon logos or trademarks beyond the text mentions permitted by the Associates agreement.

The currency switcher (USD/CAD) is a display preference. It never changes the page URL, which avoids duplicate content for search engines.

A converted amount is never presented as an official Amazon price: the binding price is the one shown on the Amazon store the visitor is redirected to, at checkout.

PA-API prices will only be shown for the marketplace they came from, with no cross-currency conversion, in line with programme requirements.

Every affiliate click carries a structured ascsubtag parameter combining the source (page, email, quiz), the A/B variant, the language (fr/en) and the displayed currency (usd/cad). Example shape: pp-guide-harness_vA_fr_cad.

This parameter is a campaign identifier, not a personal one: it contains no email, name or account ID, and does not let Amazon tie you to a profile on our side.

We measure clicks in aggregate (by page, variant, language and currency) to improve our content. These measurements respect your cookie consent choice; if you decline, only anonymous counting without a persistent identifier is kept.

Currency-level tracking costs you nothing and changes neither the price nor the marketplace where the purchase is completed.

No affiliate links in non-compliant emails, offline documents, downloadable PDFs or third-party apps — Associates links are used only on this website and in emails permitted by the programme.

No display of Amazon prices obtained by scraping: that practice is prohibited by the Associates agreement.

No artificial click incentives, no fake countdowns, no manufactured scarcity, no fake reviews.

No self-clicks by us, our relatives or automated tools on our own affiliate links.

If you spot a misattributed image, an outdated price, a missing disclosure or an incorrect affiliate link, contact us through the Contact page. We fix or remove the item within 72 business hours.

This policy is reviewed quarterly and whenever the Amazon Associates agreement or the PA-API licence terms change.
